Second Session Of The Season...

Seeing the weather forecast for Thursday indicating heavy rain in the morning then brightening up through the afternoon, prompted an unplanned evening session on the Tidal Trent at Collingham. Arriving at around 6:00pm i had set up both rods on single Lamprey boilies (following the first session of the season where the fish were refusing to take double Lamprey Boilies). I landed the first fish of the evening at 7:59pm at around 6lb from the upsteam rod which was then followed by 2 more fish up to 7lb 6oz. The river was lower than the previous session though was still pulling through heavily requiring 5oz feeders to be bulked up to 8oz and with a down stream wind requiring a large bow in the line to keep the feeder in position without rolling. The feeding soon tailed off and i packed up and left the river at around 11:30pm.

Hopefully the weather improves through July and the rivers can settle down as oppose to being like yo-yo's!
